Square footage of the house question: Taxpayer is saying his first floor is 3,000 square feet, 2nd floor is 3,000 square feet and loft is 1,200 square feet saying the total is 7,200 square feet. Is that correct and what would be used for 8829 line 2 total area of home?
I guess I am just confused because I never had someone say to me my first floor, my second floor, my 3rd floor or loft.
