Help, where do you enter margin interest charges that's on an investment form??

I need help... First time dealing with Margin Interest Charges (34,000) example. 

Please inform me ,

i put it as a whole figure not negative... but not seeing any carry over.... guess it doesn't apply to him.. only showing the qualified dividend amount showing on the bottom as an investment interest expense deduction

 


Enter as a positive number. It will flow to Sch A, if able to itemize. The deduction is limited to net investment income. Excess margin interest should carry forward to next year. Form 4952 should populate

I  have form 4952 ANT open and don't know if it belongs on line 5?   or  possibly thats' the wrong place...  PLEASE help me with this "Margin Interest Charged" amount.

Or does this get reported on schedule A?

First, what did the client do with the funds borrowed on margin?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

From looking at his thick statement... he used it to purchase stocks... and sold some..  but he had losses.
