Has anyone else had an issue connecting to Smart Look or the updater?

I have a strong internet connection, and I am able to access all webpages, including proseries or intuit.  

When I try to update or use Smart Look (or Glance) from within the program it says "unable to reach ProSeries"

I have turned off my firewall and antivirus - didn't help

I tried it in incognito mode - didn't help

I just spent over two hours on the phone with Intuit's Tech Support and they told me they couldn't elevate the issue becuse they couldn't verify that the firewall was off.  

Anyone have any suggestions?
