Found error on 2024 return of carryforward amount when I transferred it to 2025 return. Is the Carryforward Wksht part of the efiled return , or should I amend the 2024?
Mistakenly clicked "No" when should have clicked Yes" for "Was an 8339 form filed in a prior year for same child" because first Carryforward started in 2023 when adoption was finalized. This answer incorrectly computed a double carryforward amount for 2023 and 2024. The 2024 return's refund is unaffected though since the adoption credit could not be taken for 024 since education credit reduced tax liability. Wondering if I can just override amount in software on 2025 return to correct it.
