Does somebody know how to reach an Intuit employee to explain why they keep postponing the release of the form 8915. I woke up today and now they said it is for March 9. Until yesterday it was for March March 3. I would like to know what is the reason for the delay since the form was first introduced last year. What are all these programming engineers doing all day long. This year, there are not too many changes for them to take this long? Have a nice day everybody.

Lets just keep this info between you and me. There are alot more suicidal people out there waiting for this 8915 form. It will come when it is ready. No amount of Fireball will accelerate that coming.

No amount of Fireball will sooth this problem but we can try and use it anyway.

My prediction: Intuit will not finalize the form until after the IRS finalizes the instructions.

So when the file in this link (currently showing a Feb 2022 revision date at the top):

suddenly looks like the file in this link (currently showing a Jan 2023 revision date at the top):

https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-dft/i8915f--dft.pdf

then Intuit will start working on it (and probably release it the following Thursday).

UPDATE 3/1/23: The IRS just released a BRAND NEW DRAFT of Form 8915-F yesterday:

I'll let you reach your own conclusions. Clearly the IRS is still tinkering with both the form and the instructions (which are both in draft form). Intuit has a history of not finalizing a form until both the form and the instructions are released by the IRS.

If I had a dog in this race, at this point I'd start considering Lisa's approach of attaching a PDF. I think that's the only option if you have a farmer's return due today.

Today it says March 9th. For one thing or another INTUIT fails something every year. I bet other software have come up with a resolution.

are probably right but after last ta season I looked into other software and while I found that some software did not have a problem with 8915F they had other problems. So by switching frfom intuit to some other software all you would be doing is trading one problem for another.

They killed off the splash screen twins and things were starting to get really boring around here. Good thing the good old 8915 is still around to keep this place exciting 😜

I call my local Liberty Tax Service and they said they use Drake and their 8915-F was ready to electronic file. So this is an Intuit problem again. Drake had that form ready by late February last year too. My friend used Tax Cut and she said her's was not ready either.
