Form 1040 NR and Maryland part year resident return

I am preparing a Form 1040 NR.  The single person lived in MD for 10 months, and then in NY two months.

When I go to the MD return, and enter MD residency and do the allocation worksheet for MD sources of income and NY sources of income, the MD part year resident return is not filling out properly.  The overall Federal adjusted gross income remains set to zero.

Form 1040 NR has no allocation worksheet of its own, so I am entering the allocation information directly on MD form.  What am I doing wrong.   I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

thanks.

When I recreate this scenario, I have the same experience.  I was able to get income to flow to Maryland by re-creating the data in a mock federal 1040.  This may, of course, require additional adjustments but I found this worked pretty well in my test case.
