Subject: Follow-Up: ProSeries Automation, API, TaxDome/Juno & Tax Advisory Integration

Hello ProSeries Support,

I have received several calls from ProSeries over the past week regarding my inquiry, but unfortunately I have missed the calls and no voicemail was left. I wanted to follow up in writing so we can connect and so I can make sure I am speaking with the appropriate technical or developer-support team.

I am a long-time ProSeries Professional user and am currently developing an automated tax preparation and tax advisory system for my firm, Cornerstone Solutions LLC. ProSeries is hosted in our Verito environment, and we also use TaxDome for client organizers, document collection, workflow and client communications.

We are evaluating how ProSeries can fit into a broader system that includes TaxDome, QuickBooks Online, CPA Pilot, SharePoint and ChatGPT/AI-assisted analysis.

I would particularly like clarification on the following:

  1. Automated Tax Document Import
What current ProSeries products or features can extract and import information from W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, K-1s, brokerage/consolidated 1099 statements and other source documents directly into a ProSeries return?
  2. TaxDome / Juno Integration
What is the current status of the planned TaxDome/Juno integration with ProSeries? Is there an anticipated release date, beta program or early-access opportunity?
  3. TaxDome Organizer Data → ProSeries
Is there currently, or is there planned, a supported method of transferring structured client information collected through a TaxDome Organizer into the appropriate ProSeries fields without manually re-entering that information?
  4. API / SDK / Developer Access
Does ProSeries provide an API, SDK, developer program, data-exchange interface, import specification, MCP capability or other supported method that allows an authorized external application to read from or write structured information to a ProSeries return?
  5. AI / External Automation
Are there supported or planned capabilities for an AI-assisted system or external application to retrieve selected tax-return information, perform analysis, and return reviewed information or recommendations into the ProSeries workflow?
  6. Data Extraction
Can we programmatically or systematically extract relevant tax-return data from ProSeries for use in tax planning—for example AGI, taxable income, wages, Schedule C/E information, depreciation, carryforwards, capital gains/losses, retirement information and estimated-tax information—without manually transcribing it?
  7. Hosted Environment
Because our ProSeries installation is hosted by Verito, are any of these capabilities restricted or handled differently in a hosted/RDP environment?

Our goal is not to automate professional judgment or eliminate preparer review. The objective is to reduce duplicate data entry and allow our systems to securely exchange information while retaining appropriate human review and quality-control procedures.

If possible, I would appreciate having these questions routed to someone familiar with ProSeries technical integrations, APIs/developer capabilities, TaxDome/Juno and data import/export rather than general product support.

I would be happy to discuss this by phone as well. If someone calls and I am unavailable, please leave a voicemail with a name, direct callback number or extension.

Thank you,
