Filing Short Year Return

Has there been any improvements to Proseries to allow an additional return to be filed in the same year for same tax ID? With all the problems of the IRS processing paper returns, I really hate to mail a final return. This is the only place I know to receive Proseries support.

IRS does not allow two YEARS of the same entity to be e-filed in the same year software. Paper is your only choice.

    That's not a tax software improvement; that's an IRS rule forbidding it.
