Is it possible to add a 9465 payment plan request with a 1040NR?

Checking the 9465 instructions, it doesn't appear so.

Use Form 9465 if you’re an individual:

  • Who owes income tax on Form 1040 or 1040-SR,
  • Who is or may be responsible for a Trust Fund Recovery Penalty,
  • Who owes employment taxes (for example, as reported on Forms 941, 943, or 940) related to a sole proprietor business that is no longer in operation, or
  • Who owes an individual shared responsibility payment under the Affordable Care Act (this  payment won’t be assessed for months beginning after December 31, 2018). See section 5000A.I

I wanted to share this with you—H&R Block filed Form 9465 with a 1040-NR. It’s really unbelievable that H&R Block can do it, but Intuit cannot. Very strange

I would never file a 9465 along with a return anyhow, its takes way too many months to get processed that way.  I tell them to wait for a bill from IRS, then they know its posted to their account, then they can send in the installment agreement request, ideally online..

Thanks @Just-Lisa-Now- However, I am referring to Form 1040-NR. Unfortunately, ProSeries does not support Form 9465 for 1040-NR.
