filing a 1040x electronically. If you owe money does it come out automatically out of your account

It looks like you can schedule a direct debit for an EFiled amended return, but personally, Im not comfortable with the lack of confirmation that its actually going to occur, Ive been going to the IRS Direct Pay website and scheduling the amended payments for client there.
