F8936 new clean vehicle credit, any problems with it so far?

I have Tesla 2023 and still can not apply credit to my client tax return. Any tips from

my Tax Pros?

I havent had on yet, but others have said YOU have to enter the expected credit on Line 9  for the credit to compute.

On Sched A of the Form 8936, part II, line 9 - tentative credit amount

it works perfectly ! Just need to know what credit amount  to enter for certain vehicle.

I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out where to enter the price of the car thinking the credit needed the info to calculate. I finally figured it out if I just input the $7,500 it flowed.

Yes, just needs to know where to enter the credit amount 🙂

But so far what I see, it is the nonrefundable credit, however the way how is calculated from the taxable income amount, it is giving clients a nice refunds. Makes the clients happy :))
