Exempt-interest dividends

How can I exclude exempt-interest dividends from a CA return? When I enter CA as the "State postal code)" the amount continues to be added to CA taxable income.

On the CA return, Form CA should have a place to adjust for that line if its not doing the adjustment it should automatically.

    When putting the interest on schedule B in the federal return double click on any line, and a second sheet will pop up allowing you to allocate the interest
