My Clients has over 300 pages of Stock Transactions with 3 different Financial Advisors.  I want to entry the Short and Long Term  totals for each Advisor and attach a PDF file for the individual trades.  How do I do this on Schedule D and Form 8949?

Thanks.

Totals where?  Proseries calculates the totals from the individual transactions .  Do I override and input the totals manually?  Thats not a problem, just can not figure out to enter.

Schedule D > Capital Asset Sales Worksheet  > Covered,  Form 8979 Reporting Exception Transactions, Non-Covered Transaction Entry Table

set up 1 1099-B worksheet for each brokerage account. Then you can enter totals - I use 4 lines

    short term covered

    short term noncovered

    long term covered

    long term non covered

sell date 12/31/xx purchase date various

on schedule D there is a box to say you are sending totals separately; you can either scan and attach (I don’t do that) or you can send a copy by mail to Austin TX. or do nothing - if they are all covered transactions the system will match.
