Error on depreciation with very old items still in the records

I'm running into error on Percentage for Special Depreciation Allowance of item from 2003 & 2004. They have nothing to do with current return. It was a 100% allowance at the time.

Were you able to get this fixed or get a work around? I have a 1040 Sch C client who took 50% special depreciation allowance in 2004 and now the asset worksheet is flagging as an error. I went back to the 2024 software, and the worksheet showed "Percentage for Special Depreciation Allowance 80% & 50%." Whereas in the current year software, the wording was changed to "100% & 50%." I have run the software updates and the "error" still exists.

Well, this isn't a real fix, but since the items affected were from years ago I unmarked the Percentage for Special Depreciation Allowance on the items from 2003, 2004. Then said Ok to elect 30% in place of 50% and then deleted the red x from no on that line. Error went away.  I haven't had it again, but then I may not have had anyone else with that particular issue. Hope this helps!
