Energy Tax Credit

My client installed a new heat pump in their main home. I input the information on for 5695 but it is not calculating the credit.

Anyone know the trick, must be something I am missing!!

I haven't had one yet this year, but have you gone through the error-check?  That often will help you find something that needs to be entered in order for it to work.  Also double check that you entered the amount on the correct line (or sometimes it wants it on a smart worksheet on the form).

This is the results!!!! It asks if YOU put the improvements in the home. Well I selected NO, they hired someone to put in the new Heat Pump, right! Well they want you to select yes, I guess YOU meaning the homeowner hired the installation
