EFW to pay self-assessed penalty/interest?

For convenience, client wishes to self-assess failure to file penalty and interest for an overdue return.  In ProSeries, this amount is correctly calculated and shown on page 2.  The 1040-V voucher also shows the penalty/interest if the e-file option is *not* checked.  However, if e-file is checked, I am limited to debiting the tax due (as shown on the 8879) and am instructed not to increase the EFW debit amount by more than the tax due.

Does this mean that ProSeries does not allow for EFW to pay self-assessed penalties/interest?  Any guidance would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Have them make payment at IRS DirectPay, they can make the amount whatever they'd like.
