efile reject

I got a reject message that a return I was trying to efile that the submission was a duplicate of one that was previously recieved. It's not one that I submitted. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes. It means someone filed a return with that SSN/EIN.

Identity theft comes to mind.

    I see an IP PIN in your client's future.   

    Look at IRS Form 14039.  Client may want to file this.
