I am having problems e filing returns for 2023 because I used 2023 pro series basic and for 2024, I am using pro series professional is that normal? is anyone else having the same issue?

Hello Lisa,

Thank you for your assistance. My EIC problem solved. IRS web site on the second page declared what is NOT earned income - Pensions. 2017 and IRS accepted and paid to my client $6,600. I informed client to keep in reserve for possibilities repercussion/

pensions are not EARNED income, thats correct.   has to be wages or self employment income to count as EARNED.

You said in 2017 your client got EITC based on only pension income?  That doesnt sound correct, but its too long ago to waste anytime worrying about.

 Can you elaborate the efile issue you are facing ? Is it specific to ty23 ?

Any screen shot or error message would be helpful.
