E-file Status ProSeries Desktop

I have an 1040 2025 return that has been e-filed and gone 24 hours without an e-file update. Status is showing only ‘sent to irs’ which was its status at end of day yesterday. Is there something going on with ProSeries or with IRS e-file that is causing this delay? Should I be concerned? I use ProSeries Professional

In the EF homebase, highlight the return. Then select “update acknowledgements” from the tab that you would use to transmit the return. No reason to panic.

Thanks for the comment, but I’ve done that and no new status presents.

Then give it a couple of days and then if nothing happens, contact Intuit.

A one-day delay should not be cause for concern. On a related note, I have three separate returns pending with the District of Columbia. They were filed on Monday but not yet accepted. I think this is more an issue with the District as opposed to ProSeries.

Thanks for that information; somehow comforting to know others are delayed too. I am now 36 hours without any change and I’ve never experienced that kind of delay even on filing deadline days. I have even logged into my Intuit account to see their side of the efile status thinking I might have a desktop app issue but it too shows same “sent to IRS” status. May be time to give tech support a call.

Did you try what IRonMaN suggested and highlight the file, then choose Update Acks of selected Returns instead of the regular Receive Acks? That usually shakes them loose.

I have the same situation with one of my returns today. So weird since I filed 2 complex returns yesterday and they were accepted within a couple of hours.

There is definitely something going on with processing. All returns that I filed this morning haven’t even been sent to the various agencies. Just shows Received by Intuit. The one filed late last night is the only one that was “Sent to IRS”. The prior ones filed yesterday mid afternoon were accepted within an hour.
