Due date for San Diego CA reisdent

Hi to all.

The IRS announced for San Diego resident due date June 17. Can clients get 6 months extension before or on June 17?

They wont get 6 months on top of the extended due date...an extension would still only give them until Oct 15th to file.

    I meant they have to get extension before or on April 15  for Oct or around June 17 they can also get the extension for Oct?

    June 17 but don't count on the software being able to efile it in June.

    If you know it will be extended, I'd do it before April 15.

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
