does anyone have a workaround to entering income and tax withheld (on a 1099R) on Ca Trust return so that one can file electronically? electronically

Enter the taxable amount of the 1099R on Line 8

Federal withholding will get entered on 1041 Page 3, Line 14, you'll need to use the QuickZoom button to get into the entry box, be sure to check the box on line 14 that says its from a 1099.

If there is state withholding it goes in on the 541 Line 29, again quickzoom into that entry area on Line 29.
