Direct debit of taxes

I know there can be a one day lag in taxes coming out of an account.. but I have a client is asking.. we used 03.18.24 for date their taxes to be debited from their account.. today is now 03.21.24. is it possible to be a delay where the funds still have not hit the account?

    At times, it can take a few days to clear.

      I have had occurrences where the date accepted was the same as the date to be withdrawn not work.  I always put it out 5 days as buffer.
