DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THE EDUCATION CREDIT OPTIMIZER IS ENTERING A CREDIT ON PART VI, LINE 17 OF THE DEPENDENT STUDENT INFO WORKSHEET WHEN THE TAXPAYER'S INCOME EXCEEDS $180,000?

First off, please don't use all upper-case writing. That's shouting. This line in many situations enters an incorrect number. You need to override it with a -0- if there is no education expenses that were "actually" used for credit purposes. It used to do $10,000 exactly for years.  This year I've seen various numbers in that field.
