Delay in EFiling Today?

Curious if anyone else is seeing a slowdown in e-file acceptances today.  I filed a client's federal and state returns last night and expected that at least the federal return would have been accepted as of this morning.  Both returns are still being processed.  That strikes me as rather slow, and just interested to know if others are seeing the same thing.

I have noticed for the past SEVERAL years that returns filed late on Saturday sit.  Whether it is an IRS or Intuit issue, I don’t know.  I filed 8 returns Saturday night beginning around 9:00 pm central and when I left the office six hours later, all were still in Received by Intuit status.  It has nothing to do with DOGE or any other new factor.  It is just the way it is, and has been for years, when submitting late Saturday into the early hours of Sunday.

I transmitted some returns earlier this morning and out of curiosity, I just checked their status.  It appears that Elon may have fired the IRS computers, but hopefully he hires them back and processing gets back to normal.

All kidding aside, I have been a bit more diligent this tax season in getting returns ready filed ASAP.

All this talk about the DOGE idiots "breaking things" makes me nervous.

Just keep cranking them out.  You can only control one side of the equation.

You must not be that busy if you're worrying about e-file acceptance in 12+ hours. I have a few zillion returns that you can assist if you're bored.

Hmm, you must really have some time on your hands if you are taking the effort to comment on a discussion board thread you feel is unnecessary ....
