College Tuition credit

I have a client that enrolled & paid tuition. She got sick and had to unenroll, but the college won't give her a refund. Can she still claim the education credit? I don't think so.

I”d say no…. If she got a 1098T and it’s marked 1/2 time student, it’s wrong…. Colleges have always had course withdrawal dates…If she’s able to reenroll she should have a conversation with the bursars office 

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround
