Question

Client is american citizen working in foreign county claiming Foreign Earned Income getting paid local currency and the taxes is being deducted no W2. Are they going to pay SS and medicare

    Employee of American based company. Before she is getting W2 but started October 2024 they converted into local currency which I converted US$ and added into the Gross Wages.

    Do they pay into foreign country's social security equivalent system?

    And does the US have a totalization agreement with that country?

    The more I know the more I don’t know.
