Client filed married separately now wants to amend return to file married jointly

client e-filed returns as married separately and return accepted. they now realized that they wanted to file as married jointly. How do we file amended return?

You posted under ProSeries but the product you chose was ProConnect, so Im not sure which program you’re using.

Choose one of the returns and amend it like you would any amendment.  IRS will adjust the other person’s return.
