Cannot E-File Amended Return even though Form 1040 was Successfully E-Filed
I had successfully e-filed a 2023 Form 1040 last year (confirmed in the EF Center view). Yet when I try to e-file a 1040-X I get the error "Cannot electronically file form 1040X when the original form was not successfully e-filed". This has happened before and I just mailed the 1040-X, but I prefer to get this issue fixed if I can.
