Can the date of disposition on a business vehicle be used when the vehicle is totaled to figure depreciation?
I have a client who totaled his 100% business pickup truck 9-6-25. I put the info under form 4684 and on the car and truck expenses worksheet I put under date of disposition the wreck date so I could get the correct depreciation. Is it OK to put the date of disposition for a casualty loss. I usually use this only for vehicle sales. If I put nothing under date of disposition I get a full year of depreciation. Is there somewhere on ProSeries to do this different? Thank you
