Question

Can my client file "Married File Joint" if spouse received social security card this year in October?

My client's spouse received her social security card in October this year, ( the card says " valid for work only with DHS authorization). Can he file 'married Joint' and get standard deduction of $29,200 for 2024 tax which will be filed in 2025? The husband has valid social security card since 2015.
