can I electronically attach an Excel Spreadsheet to the line that reflects required minimum distributions and FIT withheld - so that IRS can read the spread sheet?

I have four separate RMD sources and would like to us an Excel Spreadsheet as an attachment to my Form 1040

You can't attach an Excel spreadsheet but if you can convert it to a pdf, you can attach the pdf.  But with that said, I'm not sure what you are gaining by doing so since the IRS will never look at it.

    Why arent your entering each of them on their own 1099R worksheet?  Everything you need to tell IRS about them will be in that worksheet.
