Automated Proseries Updates

We are currently running ProSeries updates on workstation with a helper script. The script runs the updater with admin rights. The users run the updater as needed.

We would like to automate the updates. We don't have a network installation so we can't run updates off a server. Has anyone automated updates on individual workstations.

Is there is a reason why you are doing it that way rather than just letting the program do "background updates" to update itself?

Or am I misunderstanding the situation?
