Are IRS bank withdrawals slow around April 15 deadline?

I did some extensions and tax returns that include payment due with bank withdrawals dates of 4/11/2026.

My clients said, as of today no withdrawals from their bank?  is this normal?

it can take 7-10 days for the scheduled payment to be withdrawn, especially when millions of other people are all trying to pay in the same week.  If its been more than 10 days since you EF the return, you can call the phone number on the 8879 and inquire about the payment and see if they have it scheduled.
