Alternative Minimum Tax Foreign Tax Credit

I have a UK client whose large wages require the calculation of Alternative Minimum Tax.  When calculating the AMT Foreign Tax Credit on the first Form 1116 AMT, Line 33 says to enter the smaller of Line 20 ($28,450) or Line 32 ($26,183).  But instead, the form is pulling $25,264 from Line 24.  This is NOT the smaller of lines 20 or 32?  Is this a bug?

I have hit the same problem.  I should have various categories of AMT FTC, but on form 1116 AMT line 33 the software is nor correctly calculating the lower of line 32 and line 20.

Exactly!! Did someone at Proseries getting line 32 mixed up with line 23? (switch of the digits??) Can we report this to Proseries to escalate? Unable to file any of my clients who have both 2555 and 1116!!

I'm having the same problem.

Need the correct number to pull through the smaller of line 20 or 32, but instead, the program takes the number from line 23!! Did someone at Proseries get the two digits mixed up?? PLEASE FIX, as can't e-file in the meantime!!

Any word? I also reported, but nothing yet. If you override, do you know if it works with e-filing?

I plan to E-File a return with an override to this field.  I will turn off Error Checking, otherwise Intuit won't accept it.  Contact me at [removed] and I'll let you know if it works.
