Allocation of resigning partner's equity - how to spread it to the remaining partners
I have a client with a partnership that has 37 partners - a couple of the partners simply left the partnership with no sale. We are just allocating those partner's equity.
How do I show this on the remaining partner's K-1s? This is probably a simple fix, but these guys are giving me fits about how they think their K-1s should look and my brain is now locked up!
