After Current Update ProSeries 2025 Won't Open - Just Spins
Tried all online suggestions (clear cache, reinstall .net frameowrk, etc.) - anybody have anything new? Prior years open fine.
As a long shot, have you tried shutting off your antivirus temporarily?
One of my clients that was in my offce suggested I rename a Chromium Embedded Framework cache (Cefsharp) for protax25 to protax25-old. Restart the computer and let ProSeries recreate this folder. It did. And it worked.
My totally basic understanding is that the Chrome browser doesn’t clear this cache when you empty history, cookies, etc. I don’t understand it as it’s a new computer and the only thing I’ve done so far in PS25 is to create tax organizers.
I treated my client to a case of Fireball.
For you techies: you have to change to show hidden folders first and then go to: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\Intuit\Common\CefSharpBrowserCaches
