709 Gift import to 706 Estate

Answer: Seems 709 Gift detail doesn't have to go on the Worksheet TG (Taxable Gifts).  It looks like totals by year is all that is required so this imported data detail  isn't important.

BTW: On Proseries, there is a transfer of 709 to 706 return but it is just a little basic data.

BTW:  If a certain president wasn't elected, there is a high likelihood that the 2025 sunset of the Gift/Estate Tax Credit would go back to $5M.  Given this uncertainty, filing a 706 for the first spouse is important to elect portability of an unused credit to make sure whatever hair brain number they decide on for the credit doesn't impact a client down the road.  It shouldn't be a form just for "millionaires" IMO

If I were a "golden" bachelor, I would advertise my DSUE tax credit amount lol.

"thinking that information was stored for an eventual 706"

Now if only Intuit would have thought of it, you would be sitting in good shape.
