What happens if you do not know the answer to line 4 (estimate total for tax liabilities) but the taxpayer wants to pay in $9,000 line 7

 

Can you put $0 for line 1?

In a situation like that, which I have had I make both numbers the same.. never had a problem.

    In the extremely short Instructions for Form 4868, it shows three requirements for "Qualifying for the Extension".
