2026 ProSeries – Form 172 NOL still not ready (2/18/2026)

ProSeries Professional 2026. Form 172 shows 'not ready for filing' on 3 NOL clients (farm/non-farm).

Already ran full updates, checked form-status.app.intuit.com, and did state reinstall. Need urgent fix or workaround for tax season.

Affects multiple clients, urgent for filing/mail deadlines, already followed all update/troubleshooting steps.

Historically, Intuit hates farmers. In my opinion, if you have farmers, you should either (a) have them make regular Estimated Tax payments to avoid the March 1st rule, or (b) use non-Intuit software.

Oops, I just reread your post. That link is only for 2025 returns. I don't have the slightest idea when the 2026 form will be ready.

No your right! I'm mean 2026 tax year, 2025 ProSeries.

I checked the date and it's moving back like they did with the NY Forms. It was 2/4 then moved back to 2/18, and then 2/25 and now it was 3/5 or something like.

I think it's a fix that needs to happen on the ProSeries side. Let's go!!!

This is off topic, but I find that message is interesting.

I use ProSeries Basic, and a Moderator specifically told us that Form 172 will be part of Basic. However, I get the message that it is not available in Basic. The fact Professional's message is different and says "not ready for filing" seems to indicate the Moderator may be wrong about it being available in Basic.

Crazy thing is it says it’s been available since January for Lacerte but now they just moved it to 03/04 for ProSeries. 🤯

For what it's worth, I think the original estimated date was the middle of March if I remember correctly. Progress?

I am still keeping the faith for March 4.🤔 🤔 I would probably be more stressed but then I see something from my "favorites" and I think just hang in there....this 2 shall pass. Who knows maybe 172 and 5695 will both be ready March 4.

I called Intuit yesterday, actually twice, and was told that it was a mistake that it said the Form 172 was ready. I was "assured" Form 172 will be supported in BasicProSeries and the expected release date is March 6. So once again, we wait.

I HAVE 15 RETURNS ON THE SHELF WAITING FOR FORM 172. REDICILOUS! YESTERDAY I WAS TOLD AVAILABLE TODAY. NOT THERE!

Just ran today's update thinking that 172 would be finalized. It's not. WTF. This is unbelievable. Come on Intuit. Get your sh*t together.

I just updated my Proseries Professional at 5:27 pm on 3/4/26 and it still says Form 172 has no availability date yet!!!!!

did you see the update message at that top right corner where the red dot shows? that's what I updated and it worked. Only did not know that part II does not update from prior years 😞

Why doesn't someone from ProSeries come in here and tell us what's going on. Clearly tax pros are affected by this!

I feel like we are just screaming into the wind and no one is home. 😞

STILL NOT AVALIABLE.... run update and it is still telling me that the form is not finalized.... INTUIT WHEN IS THIS GOING TO BE AVAILABLE>... I have alot of MAD clients.
