2025 Error on S Corp asset entry worksheet

on the 2025 S-Corporation Federal form for Asset Entry Worksheet --  the line "percentage of special depreciation allowance" is showing an error message.  there were no errors when i finished the federal return last week and then when i went into the return to see if the State forms were finalized, i had error messages on every asset.  The box for "100 and 50%" is correctly checked but now it shows an error.  it says the box should be blank but that is wrong because there was 100% special depreciation allowance allowed when the asset was originally purchased.

on my 2024 return it has the same boxes checked with no error which is correct.

I had the same problem. The latest update must have fixed this problem because I no longer have the error.

Try updating and see if that solves your problem.

Yes this was the same for my client. If you update the program, it is fixed now. But what a hassle.

ProSeries does not have several forms available to tax preparers that are trying to work for a living. We pay HUGE prices for the program and are always waiting. Or you get a tax return done and they are messing with already filed returns. Yippee!!!!

I am up to date and still having the same problem for an LLC - using desktop verison.

I'm using Turbo Tax desktop and my software says it is up to date.  I have the same problem with my llc Form 1065 return.  All of the assets I took special depreciation on in 2018 are shown correctly on form 8825 and on Form 4562, yet the review shows them all as errors saying that the 100 or 50% should be blank. Even though I tried to override the 100%, it wouldn't allow that, which I don't want to do anyway, since it is correct.

Please advise how I fix this when my software is telling me that it is up to date.

Thank you.

Can you please advise how to update the desktop business version, as it says it is up to date when I try to update it via the help menu in the program.

I am having the same issue as described here, but am unable to get past the errors.

Thank you.

Was this fixed by ProSeries? I am having the same issue now with assets purchased in 2004. Special Depreciation Allowance was claimed at 50% in that year and ProSeries is now stating the asset is not eligible. The checkbox should be blank. No errors or issues with these same assets when the 2024 return was filed.
