1099 Software Opinion

Been using Wolters Kluwer ATX (used to be Kleinrock) W-2 / 1099 software for 20+ years. A few years back they started charging for each e-file. Renewal has already come in - yes, April 15th or 16th ProSeries renewal wil be here.

Lots of clients but very few (typically < 5 to 10 1099's for each). What software do you use and recommend?

I used EFile4Biz this year, it did the job, wasnt too expensive, the layout seemed kind of clunky, but maybe thats just me..

I used efilemyforms.com

a bit hoaky but usable, inexpensive, and had a $1 EIN verification feature that I liked.

If at first you don’t succeed…..find a workaround

tax1099.com, which I found a few years ago when someone else here recommended it.

W2Mate for the last several years. Work ok for me.
