Question
1099-R Income for 70+ taxpayers
Loaded two 1099-R's totaling $45k. Box 1 is $45k and box 2a is $45k. Box 7 code is 7. Box IRA/SEP/SIMPLE is checked. In the $45k was $10k QCD. The $45k flowed to Line 4a. Line 4b has a ZERO. My understanding is 4b should be $35k. Tech support said the program is ok, it must be a tax issue. Help!
