How do I properly enter box 15 from a 1099-MISC so I can efile?

Unusual notice?  I assume you have an error message, so what does the message say?

Here’s what it says:

Box 15, Section 409A income Income under Section 409A on a nonqualified deferred compensation plan is unusual and the calculations for the additional tax and interest on this is not supported.

Because of this, I will not be able to efile this - so what is my workaround?

The tax goes on Schedule 2 Part II Line 17h.

Are able to calculate it manually, per the instructions, and then enter it in ProSeries?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

The tax should be 20% of the amount in box 15. The interest if any depends on the clients plan, and you need when he became vested. It can get complicated  to figure interest, and you will need to research on how to do it. Once you have the tax, and interest just add the tax and interest penalty, and put on on 1040 schedule 2. You can delete the 1099MISC worksheet then you can efile
