1040 individual electronic filing returns error: the submission is a duplicate of one that was previously received

Not transmitted, the return failed the tax submission return validation step. please make the necessary corrections.

If the SSN is correct, sounds like you'll be paper filing that return, someone using an Intuit product already EFiled a return with that SSN..

    did you already efile by mistake? or it sounds like it could be identity theft if you confirm they did not file and IRS says they did. Paperfile with id theft forms.
