Where can this tax credit be input in ProConnect?  I do not see it listed anywhere.  Is there a way to manually input a credit that is not included in the software?

Hi @jenny5 , no there is not a specific manual entry place in the program.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue:

  • For Refunds: The state will calculate the WPTC and add it to the taxpayer's refund automatically.

  • For Balance Due: The taxpayer should pay the balance as calculated on the return; the Department of Revenue will process the credit and pay it out separately.

  • Software Updates: Since this is a new credit (signed into law in late 2025), if you do not see a specific line for "Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit" on the PA-40 draft, it is because the state is handling the calculation on the back end after the return is filed, or it will be integrated into the final release of the state forms as a calculation of 10% of the federal EIC.
