Why is there a critical error for IL filings?

I am getting an error for filing a state return for IL as follows:

Illinois calculations associated with conformity or nonconformity to provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 are currently being researched and will be available in a future release. IL - Ref #61701

According to the IL Department of Revenue their forms are complete for the 2025 tax filing and they have been accepting returns since 1/26/26 from their website:

Yes, the Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) began accepting 2025 individual income tax returns for electronic filing on January 26, 2026

Is this problem just within the ProConnect software?

It is very inefficient to not be able to file both Federal and State returns simultaneously.

What seems to be the issue?

The diagnostic is due to the IL forms not completely being approved inside our software.  The diagnostic will not stop you from e-filing the IL return, you can proceed with efiling by clicking the ignore box.  However, it is there as an alert to let you know that if there are calculation changes you may have to amend.

Do you know when the diagnostic will be removed? Why is your internal review process well behind the tax season as the OBBB3 was passed in July 2025 and the State of IL clearly declared it was not abiding by the OT and TIPS credit so it this not a pretty know add back to income for IL purposes? Just curious as not real efficient to be filing without form accuracy.

All forms and calculations for all software programs have to be reviewed and approved by the IRS and states individually.  So, until final approval has been completed for ProConnect on those specific forms,  the diagnostic will remain as notification to the preparers.  I do not have an ETA on when that final approval will be completed.
