Why does the South Carolina return addback $750 in taxable income on a single filer when the standard deduction allowable is the same as the federal?

I'd double check if that is true. My quick look says SC has not conformed to the federal standard deduction increase for 2025, among other conformities.

Isn't there an additions schedule in the return that tells you what it is adding?

The more I know the more I don’t know.

Yes, it says this is a standard deduction adjustment. I believe this to be incorrect as the deduction is the same as the federal.
