Why does the Critical Diagnostics prevent me from filing simply because Federal Form 8879-TE "is not included in this version of the program?"

The Form 8879-TE is not filed with the IRS.  It is therefore irrelevant whether Form 8879-TE is "included in this version of the program."

Plus, the IRS isn't even OPEN yet for e-filing....E D I T - I now see 88790-TE which isn't for individuals.  IRS is open for business efiling.    It may be that the form isn't final by the IRS, which can mess with the efiling schemas.

It might help with us volunteers if you divulged the 1) the year involved & 2) what type of return.
