Why are my clients receiving IRS notices that their "Recovery Rebate Credit" was miscalculated?

I entered the amounts that were received and the worksheet calculated that they should get a credit and then the IRS says they need to pay the credit back???

Your :"clients are receiving IRS notices that their "Recovery Rebate Credit" was miscalculated"

because the IRS says that the RRC was miscalculated.

I get calls or emails every day that the refunds were held up because the IRS changed the RRC calculations from the amounts THAT THE CLIENTS GAVE ME or THAT I CALCULATED USING ONLINE CALCULATORS.
