Why 2017 Form1040 and amended 2017 Form 1040X have different federal refunds in ProConnect? Can I exclude the Form1040 pages since Form 1040X will be used?

The 1040X will have a different refund than the correct 1040 because it will show the difference between the original and the corrected.
